Trigger Warnings Explained

Mental Health is VERY important to me. Because of this, a break down of my TW is necessary for anyone interested in reading my book. So if interested in knowing more about them pertaining to my book, read below.

Firstly, I call this a dark fantasy romance because there are dark themes but they are not between the FMC and MMC.

Language: My characters swear and foul language is used often. This is their personality and they do not apologize for it, they do not follow humanity social rules, they are wicked fae.

Abuse/Rape: There are dark themes of psychological abuse as well as physical. Again this is never between the FMC and MMC but they both have pasts that leave them both mentally scared and they must learn to overcome them in order to save themselves and the world. The rape is mildly described in a small blip in the story and is more centered around experiments to assist with finding a cure for fae infertility, that have gone too far by a power hungry villain.

Infertility Complications: The fae are cursed with infertility, they cannot have children and that is why they are on the verge of extinction. I wrote this story when I was first diagnosed with secondary infertility, I had no idea I was writing out my pain on these pages but as someone who has gone through that myself I recognize reading about something like the inability to have a child would be very hard for mamas who have suffered losses or with infertility. The pain they hold deep within themselves but still live a normal life day to day is frankly superhuman.

Hopefully this helps you understand some of the TW that are listed. If you have more questions please feel free to contact me. I am more than happy to answer any question regarding this because it is important to me!

Always.
